Buying Tome of Polymorph: Turtle

With the recent announcement that Zul'Gurub will be removed as a raid instance in Cataclysm, that means that the famed Tome of polymorph: Turtle will most likely also be removed from the game. For those of you who don't know how to obtain this item, it is a medium drop rate from Gahz'ranka and at the time of this writing sells for around 500g on most servers. But that will probably be changing quite a bit come Cataclysm as this item will be un-obtainable in the game. So what I am suggesting is that you buy/farm a few of these and wait it out a good 9 or so months from now and people will be paying thousands and thousands of gold for these. Some other gold bloggers have estimated this to sell for something around 100,000g at some point. So the longer you wait to sell, the more they will be worth. Just try to keep in mind that this is a very long term investment and will take a long time to flip into profit, but when the time comes you will not regret it.

Tailoring: Netherweave Bag

First and foremost, I would like to start off this post by saying that Netherweave Bag's sell faster that you can make them, quite literally. The breakdown for these is very simple:
-Bolt of Netherweave (x4)
-Rune Thread (1)
(Per Bag)
So, it works out very simply, each stack of netherweave cloth turns into a Netherweave Bag with a few seconds of work. Personally I craft these in massive amounts. They sell faster than anything else I have ever sold, and while one at a time they won't net you any major profit , if you can sell 50 of these in the span of a day or two it can make you some pretty decent profit for 8 minutes of AFK crafting.
Another good thing to know about these is that 99% of people that make these from cloth they bought from the AH. Now the trick to netting you more profit is that if you can starve the supply, you will make the price of the end product a bit higher. So if you have enough gold to keep buying out the AH of most/all of the Netherweave cloth you will be one of the only people putting bags up and can list them at something higher than they would normally be.

Things to Come
I have only been writing this blog for a few months give or take, but I have very big plans for it. At this point in time I have a few more things to sort out before I can dedicate a ton more time to this blog, but that time is coming very soon. So here is the rundown of what is to come!
-Many more posts daily and weekly
-More Videos with posts (almost all)
-More Profession based guides.
-More customization and ease of use for the site
-Eventually switching over to a new server that I have more control of
-Possibly a weekly podcast
So, with that said I will be mostly sticking to gold topics as my main focus, because it is what I enjoy writing about, but I plan on covering major news updates along with some cool videos more along the lines of cool little exploits. Don't worry though, non of them are anything game changing, just little fun things I like to mess around with every once and a while :P
Also, I now have a Facebook Page along with a Youtube Channel. So feel free to add\subscribe to my pages.

Winner of the September Gold Contest!
So after thinking about doing something like this for a few days I finally took action and started a 500g giveaway on Arthas-US. Now, granted this was a very spur of the moment thing, so only about 10 or so people showed up given short notice. But this months winner was Waldo the Magnificent! The contest this month was determined by who had the most unique costume. Keep an eye on the official Arthas forums for more information about the next date and category. Also a big thanks to everyone who showed up, you are all a big help in making this bigger every month :)

What to Do With All These Forest Emerald's?
Just a fast post about what to do about Forest Emerald's. They barely ever sell on the auction house, either cut or raw. So instead of just selling them to a vendor, I make Emerald Choker's. These baby's only take 3 Forest Emeralds and 1 Titanium Bar and can be made by any jewelcrafter. These Chokers can generally sell for 75-100g. Fast easy profit!

Call to Auction Podcast

WoW! Euripides, Markco and BigJimm are the best in the business when it comes to making bank. These guys always have the best insight on everything shiny, if you guys don't know who these people are.....Euripides writes for Wow.com along with being on Outdps.com and is featured on The Hunting Party Podcast. Markco runs his own blog Justmytwocopper.org along with the JMTC Forums. He also owns his own gold guide 20kLeveling, I purchased 20kleveling and am very happy with my purchase, don't really have anything bad to say about this in any way, but whether you're a new player to the auction house or a veteran, you will love 20kleveling. Now for BigJimm, this guy runs one of the best gold related blogs in the blogosphere: phase3profit.net. I recommend all of these guys and everything they're involved in with the World (Of Warcraft).

Best Add-ons for Playing the AH

Just wanted to write up this short post real quick about the addons I use for my auctions and gold related things. First of all, if for some reason you don't know how to get an addon, I suggest heading over to http://www.curse.com/client/ to get a hold of the free Curse Client. This software will allow you to get all the addons you will ever need whenever you need em'. So now for my list of the stuff I use to make my cash:
-Auctioneer: For the most part, this will be very overwhelming to most players when they open it up. Basically this will deck out your default action house interface. The only thing I suggest using at first is the scan option. You're going to want to scan the AH every 7 hours or so, if not just try to do it once per day. The easy way to do this is just to type "/auc getall" in your chat box.
NOTE:(Some use Auctionator, but I cannot comment on that because I have never used it)
-Altoholic: This addon is pretty much the most amazing thing in the world, it allows you to see virtually everything your alts have in the bank, guild bank, inventory, talents, gear, everything!
-Auditor: This fancy lightweight addon informs you about all your incoming and outgoing gold flow. For example, after you open up all your fresh mail in the morning and wonder how much you just earned yourself, Auditor will calculate it all and display the total amount in your chat box.
-Automation: Automatically sells all gray quality items when you speak to a vendor.
-Postal: Opens all your mail at the click of a button.
-Cashstash: Displays your total gold across your entire account in your character panel.
-Mr.Plow: Re-stacks all your items automatically.
-Tinytipwealth: Not really anything super important, but is a pretty cool little addon. Pretty much when you mouse over another player, it will display the highest amount of gold that player has had on them at one time, all in your tooltip.
If any of you have any questions or concerns for me, either leave them in a comment or email me at Veldoran@hotmail.com

How to Make Gold With Jewelcrafting Part 1

Jewelcrafting is what I use to make a large amount of my gold. What I try to do is keep a very large stock of each gem, that includes Common, Rare and Epic gems. I only use the Chalcedony and Bloodstone gems and cut the strength and spell power gems for red and the stam for blue. Believe it or not, these things sell fast because people leveling new alts don't want to drop the cash on rare gems. Next is the rare blue quality gems. With these you're going to want to first off have a decent amount of cuts for each color, if you don't you have no need to worry, just start doing your Jewelcrafting daily on a more consistent basis to get some new cuts. So, now that you have some decent cuts you're going to want to get your hands on some cheap Scarlet Ruby's and Sky Sapphire's for starters. The reason for starting with these is because they sell the fastest for the most profit. Feel free to cut other colors, but I would suggest starting out with these 2 colors before expanding into anything else. Now you want to cut those into Red: Bold and Runed Blue: Solid and Stormy. From my experiences these cuts sell the best. Epic gems, these are actually turning out to be the least profitable gems to mess with because the demand is so high, along with the fact that you get fiercely undercut by competition. But if you get into these you're going to want to cut them into the same gems as the rare blue quality gems. Unless you can get epic gems through something like Alchemy, you should just buy epic gems when the raw versions are really cheap and the cut versions are at the normal or higher price.
Also a few small tips:
-Do your daily Icy Prism cooldown, it is very cheap and can net you some epic gems along with some dragon's eye
-Mix with other professions for maximum profit
-Make sure you do the quest in Howling Fjord at Vengeance Landing to have the chance to cut perfect versions of the uncommon gems for extra profit
-Shadow Crystal's don't sell very well on the auction house as cut versions, so after you have the perfect cut quest done you should cut all your raw shadow crystal's and vendor them all. The regular cuts sell for .50 silver while the perfect versions sell for 1g per.

Frozen Orb to Runed Orb Profit
So after forgetting about this blog for a few months I have been re-inspired and as of now I will be trying to post as often as possible with free, in detail guides and tips on how to make the most out of your professions. No need to fret if you are a new player with no max level professions. So for my first official post I would like to talk about how to make very easy gold with just a few minutes of effort. Now, depending on your server the price of Frozen Orbs may be a little different than mine (Arthas-US) but this is a very basic method that surprisingly most people don't think to manipulate. Now, down to business, you're going to want to go to your closest auction house and buy 4 frozen orbs for somewhere around 16-18 gold each (But don't worry if they are a little bit higher). After you do that you're going to want to head to Dalaran and talk to Frozo the Renowned and trade the 4 Frozen Orbs you bought for 1 Runed Orb. Now most people will just skip to the 245 ToC gear, but some people are still making the Ulduar crafted epics for new alts. Now the reason for these being so fun to sell, is that the supply of these is very low on most servers, therefor you can generally crank the prices up to a high but reasonable price of 150-200g. I wouldn't suggest posting these for anything under 100g, it's fine to do that, but once you dip below 100g you start to lose more profit margin for no reason. So, if all goes well these should sell pretty fast depending on your server and net you an easy 70-100g profit with 2 minutes of work!
